Edelweiss Lodge and Resort is tucked away in the Bavarian Alps. It is the ultimate getaway for the U.S. Armed Forces and their families. The accommodations include rooms and suites depending on your specific needs. The Point Wellness Club offers guests a full-on relaxation experience with steam rooms, saunas, and spa services. The dining is exquisite. Edelweiss offers a delicious buffet and great quality comfort meals. If you have young children (elementary school-aged) and you're hoping to have a romantic dinner, there is a Kids' Night Out program you can look into utilizing as well.
While visiting we stayed in the Junior Suite which sleeps up to six people. We did bring an adapter because the room was only equipped with European 220v plugs. The suite was equipped with a mini cooler, coffee maker, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, safe and a towel warmer. The bathroom was spacious and offers a separate vanity sink which is a must for every couple. Each room has a flat-screen television with complimentary wireless high-speed internet. The room was well-furnished with sort of a rustic vibe. There are huge panoramic windows in each suite with a balcony that offers a clear and breathtaking mountain view. There are no words to fully describe the view of the mountains while sitting out on the balcony. I felt so well-rested, renewed and refreshed after the first night's rest.
Before preparing a trip to Edelweiss, the entire vacation can be completely planned in advance by downloading the free vacation guide. This takes away any stress surrounding language barriers, cost or trying to plan things on the fly. There is so much to do and see while visiting, it's impossible to have a dull moment. One of the most amazing perks to visiting this resort is the location. This really is a prime location. The major area of attraction for sightseeing activities and high adventure activities are all within 30 minutes to approximately an hour of the resort.
